DermExcel – TCA 15% Peel, 10ml – Professional Use

The TCA Peel is a medical-grade chemical resurfacing treatment formulated to induce controlled protein coagulation within the epidermis and superficial dermis. Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) works through precise chemical cauterisation, stimulating epidermal renewal and dermal remodelling processes that support collagen synthesis and structural skin regeneration. This results in visible improvement in pigmentation irregularities, acne scarring, textural concerns, and signs of photoaging.

Available in multiple strengths, treatment depth can be carefully customised according to individual skin needs and clinical goals. TCA peels are particularly effective for advanced correction where deeper collagen stimulation and comprehensive skin renewal are required.

Indications:

  • Hyperpigmentation: Improves the appearance of dark spots, melasma, and uneven pigmentation through controlled epidermal renewal and pigment removal.
  • Photoaging: Reduces the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, and uneven skin texture by stimulating collagen remodelling and dermal regeneration.
  • Acne Scarring: Supports improvement in superficial to moderate acne scars through controlled chemical resurfacing and dermal stimulation.
  • Rough & Uneven Texture: Promotes removal of compacted stratum corneum and stimulates skin renewal for smoother, more refined skin.
  • Enlarged Pores: Improves pore appearance by reducing follicular obstruction and stimulating collagen support around the pore structure.
  • Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation: Assists in improving residual discoloration following inflammation or breakouts, supporting a more uniform complexion.
  • Keratoses & Thickened Skin: Helps reduce areas of epidermal thickening through protein coagulation and controlled exfoliation.

1. CLEANSE

  • Cleanse the skin thoroughly using Pore Control Cleanser or Renewal Facial Cleanser.
  • Remove all makeup, sunscreen, and surface residue.

2. PREP

  • Apply the Pre-Peel Solution to fully degrease the skin.
  • Allow the skin to dry completely to ensure uniform penetration.

3. PROTECT

4. APPLY

  • Divide the face into four quadrants: forehead, cheeks, and medial face.
  • Apply TCA with firm, even pressure using gauze or a cotton-tip applicator.
  • Start with the forehead, then cheeks, and finish with the medial face.
  • Feather 1 cm below the jawline to prevent demarcation lines.
  • Avoid overlapping passes.

5. ASSESS FROSTING

  • Wait 2–5 minutes to evaluate the frosting endpoint.
  • Level 1: Light, speckled frost – superficial depth.
  • Level 2: Uniform white frost with erythema – medium depth (maximum for full face).
  • Avoid Level 3 frosting in full-face treatments.

6. LAYER – IF REQUIRED

  • Reapply only to areas with insufficient frosting.
  • Wait 2–5 minutes between layers.
  • Do not exceed Level 2 frosting in full-face treatments.

7. POST-TREATMENT CARE

  • Apply Dermaplan Mediment immediately after treatment.
  • Instruct the patient to use DermDefence SPF 50 daily and avoid sun exposure.
  • Advise against picking or peeling flaking skin.
